On Nov 19, 2024 the American College of Surgeons and the Society For Vascular Surgery named St. Marys as the FIRST community hospital in America to receive the designation of Vascular Verification. This is the highest honor for vascular care in America. Advanced Cardiac Imaging

Intermountain offers some of the latest and most technologically advanced cardiac imaging technologies including Cardiac MRI, Cardiac CT and Cardiac MRI Stress Tests.

Cardio-Oncology Program

The Cardio-Oncology Program provides comprehensive, collaborative heart and cancer care that seeks to improve clinical outcomes and quality of life for those who are currently being treated for cancer as well as cancer survivors susceptible to long-term cardiac complications.

Cardiothoracic Surgery

The heart surgery programs at Intermountain Health in Denver offers a full range of surgical procedures including traditional open, minimally invasive, and transcatheter interventions. As measured by the Society of Thoracic Surgeons, the preeminent authority for quality and outcomes reporting for heart surgery, our surgery programs are among the highest rates in in the North America.

Electrophysiology

Intermountain has developed a comprehensive cardiac electrophysiology program designed to treat all forms of heart rhythm disorders for patients living throughout the Denver Metro Area. The program specializes in cardioversion, the Convergence procedure for Intractable Arrhythmia, Cryoablation for Atrial Fibrillation (Afib), implantable cardioverter defibrillators (ICDs), as well as Laser Lead Extraction.

Interventional Cardiology

Interventional cardiology is a core program and specialty at Rocky Mountain Heart Institute and Intermountain Health in Denver. Our interventional cardiologists perform a wide range of minimally invasive therapeutic and diagnostic services, many of which utilize heart catheterization.

Structural Heart Disease Program

Intermountain is home to one of the best-rated structural heart disease programs in the Western United States. The Denver-area program offers sophisticated treatments that include transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR), transcatheter mitral valve repair with MitraClip , WATCHMAN left atrial appendage closure for patients with Afib, and patent foramen ovale (PFO) and atrial septal defects (ASDs) repair and closure for patients born with heart development problems.

Vascular Surgery and Intervention

We combine the strengths of top-rated vascular surgeons, interventional cardiologists and interventional radiologists to provide artery and vein disease services for conditions such as peripheral vascular disease and abdominal aortic aneurysms.
