Structural heart procedures combine the talents of cardiothoracic surgeons and specially trained interventional cardiologists to address structural defects in the heart and valves in patients for whom open-heart surgical procedures are not recommended. Thanks to an integrated and interdisciplinary approach to structural heart care, Intermountain Health can offer advanced structural heart treatments, including:

  • Transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR) for aortic valve disease
  • Transcatheter mitral valve repair with MitraClip for mitral valve disease
